The ragtag freelancers hired by hospital administrator Morko to uncover an organ smuggling conspiracy have found more than they expected. They found evidence that strange experiments with the Force were conducted on Nar Shadda in the former mansion of the Delphos family. Meanwhile, fellow former clone troopers provided the necessary algorithms to crack former republic data security, unlocking the records in the datapads recovered from the lost mine on the rogue moon of Taris. The crew finds themselves at a pivotal moment, where they are no longer desperate accomplices, but perhaps a true investigative team. . . The shards of the Republic lie scattered.
